Maquoketa Series Cedar Canoe Paddle

$210.00

Back story of the piece of wood:

This Cedar wood was milled by a surgeon who happened to be logger on the side.  The trees were harvested and milled in the woods just outside of Mt. Vernon, IA where they sat and air dried in the attic of a stone cabin near those woods in Mt. Vernon for the next 25 years.  The wood was given to Spring Run Design in 2017 in the hopes we could create beautiful woodworking out of the lumber.

Hand finished with 3 coats of marine grade varnish with the grip finished in boiled linseed oil, and hand rubbed with beeswax for that ultra smooth grip and feel.

Size:

58 inches long

7 1/2 inches wide at the blade
