The wood of this handcrafted cooking tool comes from a Walnut Tree near Edgewood, IA.  The tree was milled by the Amish and this was one piece of many offcuts of the tree to be sold as firewood.  These offcuts were sold to a farmer located outside Monticello, IA, where they sat outside for the last two years waiting to be used to heat the farmhouse. 

Handcrafted and finished with mineral oil and beeswax.
