The wood used for this handcrafted cooking tool comes from a Walnut Tree near Mt.Vernon, IA.  The wood was milled by a surgeon who was a logger in his spare time.  This was the last set of lumber he milled before his passing, and sat in an attic in a stone cabin outside Mt. Vernon, IA air drying for 25 years. 

Handcrafted and finished with mineral oil and beeswax.
